We only relocate Murphy beds built by Madewell Woodworks. We have your original build specs, materials, and finish details on file, which is what allows us to break down and reinstall without compromising the build. We are not able to service, relocate, or modify Murphy beds built by other manufacturers.

This is the most common surprise. We notch each bed and cabinet to fit flush over the original client's baseboards. If your new space has taller or thicker baseboards, they'll need to be removed in the install area before we can reinstall. Baseboard removal and any associated wall touch-up adds time and cost to the job.

Every added component increases the complexity of breakdown and reinstall. Desks need to be disconnected and precisely realigned. Integrated lighting or charging stations require electrical work at the new location. These items are quoted separately after we review your setup.

Not always. Ceiling height, wall width, outlet placement, HVAC vents, and door swing can all affect whether your bed fits the new space the same way. We recommend measuring your new room and sending us the dimensions before scheduling.

We take every precaution during breakdown and transport, but these are large, heavy built-ins that were designed to be installed once. Minor touch-ups to finish are common and included. Structural damage from transport is rare but would be quoted separately for repair.

Honestly, sometimes it's not. If the new space is significantly different from the original, or if the bed has been through wear and tear over many years, a fresh build designed for the new room can be a better investment. We're happy to give you a straight answer on which option makes more sense for your situation.
