About This Project

This queen vertical Enfield Murphy bed in Mysterious brings serious presence to a Manor guest room that needed to free up floor space without settling for something forgettable. Mysterious is a deep blue-grey that shifts between navy and charcoal depending on the light, and on the Enfield’s planked X-pattern door face it creates a finish and texture combination that is genuinely hard to look away from.

The Enfield is the most texture-forward profile in the Madewell lineup. Horizontal planking runs across the full door face, intersected by a bold X that gives the panel depth and shadow that flat door profiles simply cannot replicate. The detail shots show exactly what that means in practice, every plank and angle catching light differently, making the bed face feel more like a piece of furniture than a wall-mounted system. A single gold bar pull sits centered at the top, understated hardware that lets the door design do all the talking.

This install keeps the focus entirely on the bed face with no flanking shelving or cabinets, a clean, furniture-forward approach that suits a guest room where the goal is space savings rather than built-in storage.

With the bed stowed, the room opens up completely. With the bed deployed, it becomes a guest room anchored by one of the most visually distinctive wall systems in the lineup.
