Murphy Beds

Can I use my current mattress?
Absolutely! As long as your mattress is 12″ deep or less, you shouldn’t have any issues. We do recommend using a memory foam mattress as opposed to a standard spring mattress. Since mattresses are designed to lay flat, over time the springs may shift towards the headboard.
How much are cabinet systems?
It varies depending on the material used, design of the cabinet, and cabinet dimensions. Please contact us for a detailed estimate
How long does it take to build?
Typically, completed Murphy beds average 3-4 weeks to build. The kit options can be ready in as little as 3-5 days. Murphy bed systems with attached cabinets can take 4-5 weeks.
What type of materials do you use for the bed and cabinets?
We use Birch plywood for all painted Murphy beds and cabinets. Plywood is an excellent choice for the beds as it is dimensionally stable and incredibly strong. For stained beds, you can choose from a variety of plywood veneers like oak, alder, cherry, or walnut. While most of the bed is built using plywood, there are some opportunities for incorporating real wood into the design.
What are the design options for the beds?
The design options are completely customizable! From barn door styling to modern shaker, we can make your vision a reality.
What type of paint/stain do you use? Can I choose the color?
For painted systems, we spray PPG Breakthrough on our beds. It’s one of the most durable paints in the market. If you have a specific color in mind that’s not a PPG color, we can have it color matched; however, the shade may be slightly different.

For stains, we can use any off-the-shelf color you prefer or can even have a custom shade mixed. We spray a cabinet grade water-based polyurethane to protect the beds.
